Job Summary:
This System Engineer will be responsible for network and server equipment from design through implementation, support, maintain and troubleshoot. They will need to be capable in installation, configuration and upgrading of a wide variety of servers, related hardware and software in LAN, WAN and stand-alone environments. They will need to conduct investigations, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of systems, hardware, software and infrastructures as well as conduct new research projects. In addition, they will be expected to find suitable technology for implementation in projects or systems such as DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC).
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage assigned projects and program components in accordance with established objectives.
•Complete configuration, installation and system support in open sources environment.
•Test and Maintain software applications and operating systems.
•Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
•Supervise the administration of systems and servers to ensure their availability to authorized users.
•Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers and outside vendors, etc. to provide technical assistance and support.
•Ensure and tune the database for improved performance.
•Research and implement new systems and technologies.
•Other tasks assigned.

1. Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 2. Experience in Unix and Open Source 3. Knowledge of programming, e.g. Perl, PHP, Shell Script. 4. Possess Knowledge and hands-on experience with VMware and Proxmox virtualization platforms, as well as server management tools 5. Able to design or select appropriate network devices according to specific requirements or objectives 6. Have a solid knowledge of network security 7. Fair command of English language 8. Must be able to work under pressure, able to manage and control an assigned projects in hand 9. Comfortable working in open-source communities
